GIU Growing In Unity 2020 - Day Four - Be Your Own Reason to Smile

 Hey Crafty Crafters!

I am So Excited to get a turn to be a GIU- Growing in Unity Girl! :) It is a real honor to get the chance to share a few lines and a few images, about THE BEST Red Rubber Out There, brought to you and to me by our friends at Unity Stamp Company.

Today I just want to tip my Unity Cap (oh wait, I lost it.....when will they have Caps again.....?) to the SMAK kits. One of my earliest memories of Angela was a video of her making a sweet stamped and blended Holiday Tag, and I ordered those babies and bought my first Tim Holtz Inks and blending tools....and my tags that Christmas were tiny but my kids and relatives LOVED them, which made me feel Great! Here are 2 tags made with Trust Your Vibes July 2019 Smak Kit

For the Kraft tag on the left I used Laura Mooney's Broken Bokeh stencil (from Polka Dot Orchard) and I have to say I enjoy that stencil a lot, so versatile!

I'd love to hear from you, so please make a comment below to be in the drawing from all entries this week's sweet treat from Unity, you may win one of two Unity grab bags. I Love to Win...Good Luck to you!

Thanks for stopping by, Have a Wonderful Day!

GIU Growing in Unity 2020 - Day Three - Naturally Obsessed

Hey Crafty Crafters!

I am So Excited to get a turn to be a GIU- Growing in Unity Girl! :) It is a real honor to get the chance to share a few lines and a few images, about THE BEST Red Rubber Out There, brought to you and to me by our friends at Unity Stamp Company.

Today is where I share a little more about me, with one of my Crafty Obsessions Confessions...how many times have you passed by the opportunity to buy as a new release (new release also=best price) one of the Unity stamp sets that you REALLY want to have? You watch the wonderful Unity design team, and Whitney and Angela, and that stamp set shows up again and again in the GIU and the Show and Tell feed on Facebook and elsewhere. Each time you see that stamp set in action, beyond the swooning, there is a deeply embedded response, "I really LOVE that stamp, I wonder why I haven't bought that stamp, I NEED that stamp, I will get it the next time it is on sale!..." and so on. You have seen Whitney color it up on a Live. You are ready to try! But somehow it jumps in and out of your cart when it is time to buy!? (Crafters on a Budget are especially likely to experience this syndrome).

One of the Unity sets that has impacted me that way is called "Naturally Beautiful" a fabulous rubber stamp set by Graciellie Design. I loved that set in much the same way as just described, from back in 2019 when it was originally released. LOVED IT! Back in June of this year, when the sweet, talented, Unity design team member Crystal Thompson announced she was doing four weekly Color Combo with Crystal installments on the Unity Blog featuring that very same set, I just couldn't take it any more! :) It was time to ACT! That Beauty popped right from the Sale section: Featured on the Blog This Week, into my cart and finally headed home to Casa Vigil! (You can click here for a link to the first in Crystal's series of four posts featuring this set). Here are some takes I made on a primarily stamped images style card from her series....I just LOVE it!

GIU Growing in Unity 2020 - Day Two - Blessed Beyond Measure

 Hey Crafty Crafters!

I am So Excited to get a turn to be a GIU- Growing in Unity Girl! :) It is a real honor to get the chance to share a few lines and a few images, about THE BEST Red Rubber Out There, brought to you and to me by our friends at Unity Stamp Company.

Here is another card created from a Whit Kit. The October Whit Kit had two amazing new Unity items- the stamp set Friends. Family. Graciousness. and the Gorgeous paper Cozy Textiles in this kit that I just Fell For! The stamp set is super cute, and as a person with Danish ancestry, I was tickled that it featured a definition of Hygge, and another plus just for me, a cat! :) All the prior Whit Kit stamps and papers are available for sale now....I grabbed another of this pack, too! Knew the perfect papers were calling out to be paper pieced.

I used 3 of the 4 dies that came in the kit to use to create the fireplace, and I used the wonderful Rustic Wood paper pack to put the wood look in!

I'd love to hear from you, so please make a comment below to be in the drawing from all entries this week's sweet treat from Unity, you may win one of two Unity grab bags. I Love to Win...Good Luck to you!

I have an extra Uniquely Unity Succulent Greetings stamp set that I will be sending out, too, so please mention in your comment if you would be interested in being selected to win. (USA only, please).

Thanks for stopping by, Have a Wonderful Day!

GIU Growing in Unity 2020 - Day One- So Excited to get a Turn!

Hey Crafty Crafters!

I am So Excited to get a turn to be a GIU- Growing in Unity Girl! :) It is a real honor to get the chance to share a few lines and a few images, about THE BEST Red Rubber Out There, Unity Stamp Company. Unity is a Made To Order stamp company, with the most incredible art that consistently turns my head! They currently feature four amazing monthly memberships and, not just a breathtaking inventory of designs to offer, but each month they have irresistible new releases. And, Unity carries a wonderful selection of crafty supplies as well.

I am blessed to say that many years back, I had been subscribed to these two amazing membership- KOTM and also SMAK, which for about decade now have been loaded Each and Every Month with a plethora of beautifully designed stamps at an incredible value.

Currently I am under the spell of the newest offerings on the membership front, the Whit Kit card kit, and the recently re-imagined Uniquely Unity by Ang Mag. Not that the other two memberships aren't also sweetly singing out my name....but I just cannot do them all at this time.

What is amazing about the monthly Whit Kit subscription is that Whitney curates these kits with GORGEOUS new Stamps and Paper, and then throws in other crafty goodies, so that you can try out new looks and new techniques, and the kit includes the needed tools and supplies to try them out right away. For me I think of this as Whitney helping me to spread my crafting wings. Here is an attempt I made with the April Whit Kit (Grow, Evolve, Transform). I LOVE Bees, and I love this sentiment, and felt so inspired by Echo's share on the Unity Blog that I tried it out for myself.

I am showing 2 images of this card, because the flash from my camera effected the appearance of the Pinecone Versafine Clair Ink and the color of the cardstock as well as showing the reflective image of those FUN Gilding Flakes. For the flakes, I used a double sided tape like Echo had shown on my earlier takes with this fun design, but this time, I used a tape runner, and I ended up liking the textured effect. It reminds me of a honeycomb. :)

It is now the time of the year for the lottery, to have the chance to be a Growing In Unity guy or gal, I hope that you will think about trying it out. Even I can do it! :) Watch the GIU Facebook page for Kelli's announcement. Good Luck!

I'd love to hear from you, so please make a comment below to be in the drawing from all entries this weeks sweet treat from Unity, you may win one of two Unity grab bags. I Love to Win...Good Luck to you!

I have an extra Oh, Deer and Gnome One Like You Unity Stamp set (freebies from the Brown Friday Sale) that I will be sending out, too, so please mention in your post on this daily blog post- Gnome One or Oh, Deer if either or both tickle your fancy, and I will pick a winner later in the week (USA only, please).

Thanks for stopping by, Have a Wonderful Day!
